Want to learn about county government?
It’s time again for Stafford’s annual Citizens Academy. Classes start next Thursday, January 10.
Here’s how it works: County employees teach residents, business owners, or anyone who is curious, about how local government works. Topics include a general introduction, specifics on various departments, the budget, history, tourism and public safety.
The three-hour classes run for four weeks on Thursday evenings from Jan. 1-31, 6-9 p.m. The free classes will be held in the board chambers. You must be at least 16 years old, and registration is first-come, first-served.
To register, call Jeff Shover at 658-4516.
