Crews fight two fires in Stafford
Stafford fire and rescue crews battled two structure fires in a 12-hour period, getting both under control within 5 minutes. Both fires are still under investigation, and no damage estimates are available.
The first happened at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a release Asst. Chief Mark Doyle, at 141 Hull Chapel Road in Hartwood. When the first unit from the Berea Station arrived in 7 minutes, smoke was coming from the single-story home. Firefighters located the fire around the furnace, and quickly got it under control. One adult had been home at the time, and got out before crews arrived. There were no reported injuries.
The second fire happened at 7:30 a.m. Friday, at 717 Forbes Street. Falmouth crews arrived within 7 minutes and saw smoke coming from the attic. Two adults and one child got out of the building before the units arrived. Also at this scene, there were no injuries reported.
