Other EDA grant recipients

Last week, the new owner of Amy’s Cafe was awarded a $60,000 grant from Stafford’s EDA.

Here’s a list of who else has received grants from the EDA over the past two years:

•  $75,000 to AL  IV, LLC — for the Germanna Auto Facility (which just opened), awarded April 2012
• $1,000 to Fredericksburg Area Builders’ Association — for website support, awarded February 2012
• $8,500 to Commonwealth Governor’s School — for the robotics program, awarded November 2011
• $2,400 to VECTEC — an e-Commerce Grant to Hope Springs Marina for website optimization, awarded September 2011
• $50,000 to Germanna Community College — for the school’s Stafford Center, awarded July 2011
• $1,000 to Colonial Forge Robotics — for the National Championship Registration fee, awarded March 2011
• $8,500 to Commonwealth Governor’s School — for the robotics program, awarded November 2010
• $33,334 to the Globe & Laurel — for a relocation incentive, awarded Dec. 2010 and June 2011
• $33,333 to the VA Golf Trail — for a business/web start up, awarded October 2010
