Survey on architectural design guidelines available online

Tonight the county is holding the first of two public meetings about architectural design guidelines for the Comprehensive Plan.

If you can’t make the meeting, you can still give your input on what types of homes, commercial spaces and public fixtures. You can find the online survey here. (It’s also on the “Planning and Zoning” page of Stafford’s website.)

The 155-question survey includes rating photos of different designs to see which type is preferred. For example, there are photos of traditional bike racks or ones shaped like a bicycle; sleek, modern retail centers or traditional downtown-Fredericksburg buildings.

Tonight’s meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at England Run Library. A second workshop is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Porter Library.
