Residents asked to limit outdoor water use

Water demand from residents is challenging the county’s capacity to treat and distribute water from its two reservoirs, according to a press release. Both reservoirs are full, but the county is asking residents to voluntarily discontinue outdoor water use. If you need to water plants, use buckets of water, states the release.

Dominion reports 453 customers still without power in Stafford. The estimated repair time is Friday. Call 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) to report outages.

If you still don’t have drinking water, gallon jugs are available at Fire & Rescue Station 12 (Berea), 20 Sebring Drive. You can pick it up from 11 a.m-7 p.m. There is a limit of 3 gallons per family member living in the same home. Residents can fill up buckets with water for flushing toilets at all stations.

The cooling center at Gayle Middle School closed Wednesday evening.
