Station 14 demolition approaches
Changes are on the way for Fire and Rescue Station 14 in North Stafford. The 1920s farmhouse that has been used for the past few years is quickly deteriorating. Over the next few weeks, a modular facility will be installed to be used until the county has funds to build a bigger, better fire station. The farmhouse will be demolished after crews move into the new modular building. Staff say there will be no interruptions in service.
If you’re driving by, you may see work being done. Here’s the project timeline:
- June 10-15: Site preparation
- June 18-22: Delivery and set-up of modular building
- Week of June 25th: Installation of utilities
- July 1-14: Demolition of house
This may be adjusted depending on weather. Call 540/658-5363 with any questions.
