Vote on tech and research park put off

Last night, the Board of Supervisors deferred approval of an agreement for the proposed research and technology park.

They said they needed more time to review and tweak the memorandum of agreement, which would lead to the county leasing classroom and conference space at the Quantico Corporate Center. It will likely be brought up at the next meeting. Here’s Bill Freehling’s story on what the agreement would entail.

The Silver Cos., which is developing the QCC, has agreed to pay up to $315,000, which would more than cover rent for the first five years.
