Learn more about the Rocky Pen Run Reservoir

The largest public works project in Stafford County is getting on its way. The Rocky Pen Run Reservoir in southern Stafford will one day hold 5.5 billion gallons of water and be the size of the county’s two other reservoirs combined. After being in the works for 15 years, it should be complete in 2014. Ground was broken in October; read more about the project here.

This Thursday, the Department of Utilities will hold an informational meeting to update residents on the reservoir’s status. It will be at 7 p.m. at Rocky Run Elementary School, 95 Reservoir Road.
