At-large chairman discussion continues
A countywide election would determine who would lead the Stafford County’s Board of Supervisors, if Paul Milde had his way. For years, Milde has pushed but has ultimately not found enough support on the board.
He has again brought up the issue for discussion at several recent meetings. “I simply hope I could get some consensus now on moving this one step further,” Milde said at the Jan. 17 meeting. He was requesting board approval to allow staff to research what the change would entail for the county. But that discussion was abruptly ended by a motion to adjourn around 11:30 p.m.
The board has a special meeting planned for 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Belmont, 224 Washington St. Supervisors will focus on prioritization and plans for 2012, including the budget.
