Spring Fashion Show For Sheriff
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office recently changed to new uniforms. The differences are subtle, but should be apparent to those with multiple run-ins with the law. Or rabid fashionistas.
Apparently, it was becoming increasingly difficult to source replacement uniforms, so deputies have switched to a more formal black slacks affair. The brown shirt says “tradition” while the black tie and epaulets give off an unmistakable “protect and serve” vibe.
The money for the new uniforms came from drug forfeiture assets, which the Sheriff’s Office said did not cost taxpayers. I’m checking into what that actual cost was.
More details are on the Sheriff’s Office website.
