Cox Cable is Coming Back Soon
A number of Falls Run residents (12-15, I’m told) have called the paper today wondering where their Cox cable service has gone. They have been without television, internet and, in some cases, phone service since midnight Monday.
Cox spokesman Mike Leone said the outage was due to a car accident on Interstate 95 Monday night that knocked over some Virginia Dominion Power poles that also carry Cox fiber optic lines. He said road conditions and weather delayed repairing the poles, but they are back up today and Cox workers are busy repairing the lines right now.
Leone said the outage affected about 3,000 customers in Southern Stafford County, but that most of those customers should have service back by now. He said the remaining homes should be back up by this evening. Just in time for “The Real World New Orleans,” hopefully.
