Have a Blast (But Not Literally)
Stafford County wants to remind everyone that public fireworks displays are only legal with a permit. Fireworks can be extremely dangerous, and county officials advise residents to visit a public (legal) fireworks display rather than try to create their own. Check out the official county press release.
Two more things:
Stafford County Attorney Joe Howard was scheduled to retire yesterday. He did not. Howard will be staying on until the Board of Supervisors can find a suitable replacement for him. Howard expects to be around until the end of the summer.
Stafford County government offices will be closed on Monday, July 5. The landfill will be open in the 5th, but will be closed Sunday, July 4. County pools will be open on both the 4th and 5th.
