The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office–along with members of the Virginia Alcohol, Beverage and Control Board, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and an FBI agent–raided the Ranchito El Paraiso restaurant on Warrenton Road near the Interstate 95 interchange last night.
Members of the Stafford County Special Problems Unit began investigating the establishment in December after learning that illegal drug-related activities might be taking place there. The investigation revealed after-hours alcohol sales and nude dancing. Known gang members also frequented the establishment, according to a report from the Stafford Sheriff’s Office.
Restaurant owners Victor Manuel Villalta and Ana Esther Villalta (brother and sister) have each been charged with one count of prohibited acts by a mixed beverage license, maintaining a public nuisance and keeping or frequenting a bawdy place. They are being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. Eighteen others were charged with drunk in public, one person was charged with cocaine possession.
