Spotsy hosting blood drive

CORRECTION: County officials say the blood drive will take place next Thursday, Feb. 14, not on Feb. 13.

Spotsylvania County is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive next Thursday, Feb. 14.

The drive will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the first-floor band room at the Marshall Center, 8800 Courthouse Road. Residents can make appointments by visiting redcrossblood.org or by calling Cathy Ivey at 540/507-7290. Walk-ins are welcome

Donors will automatically be entered to win a $1,000 gift card for a home-improvement store, courtesy of the Red Cross.

Be sure to drink plenty of water, eat a good meal and bring a photo ID on donation day.
