Spotsy Sheriff’s Office to recognize heroes from July microburst
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday will recognize several people for their heroic acts during the July microburst that destroyed the Cheer Fusion All-Stars gym.
Sheriff Roger Harris will honor the Cheer Fusion All-Stars family–including two parents who were critically injured–and Sheriff’s deputies that responded to the emergency.
The ceremony will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Spotswood Baptist Church, 4009 Lafayette Boulevard.
“Thanks to the combined efforts of deputies, parents and coaches, everyone was able to make it out of the building and debris safely,” a Sheriff’s Office press release stated.
