Want to help Spotsy residents?
Update: I’ve corrected the email address in the post below:
The holiday season is coming up. This time of year, I’m always reminded of just how generous area residents really are. As a social services reporter, I’d start getting calls by mid-November of people asking how they can help others this season.
Every year, Spotsylvania’s Department of Social Services runs a holiday program for clients needing help. They collect and distribute food baskets and presents to families who otherwise wouldn’t have a holiday. If you would like to sponsor a child or a family, contact Lori Weresnick at 540/507-7896 or Lori.Weresnick@dss.virginia.gov.
Last year, more than 3,000 Spotsylvania residents were helped during the holiday season.
