Robbery
7-11 Salem Fields, 11119 Gordon Road- The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery at the Gordon Road 7-11 store at Salem Fields on Monday April 11th 2011. Three unknown males entered the store at midnight. The first male (6’0, 195 lbs, black hooded coat, black mask, black jeans, black shoes, white gloves and white socks) brandished a black handgun and took the clerk behind the counter to obtain cash and cigarettes. The other two males took cases of beer from the cooler area. The 2nd male with walked to the front of the counter and brandished a second handgun. That male is described as light skin male, 5’6, 155 lbs, wearing a maroon hoodie with light lettering on the front, black jeans, and a black mask. The 3rd individual (male, 5’9”/165 lbs, black coat with red hood, black mask) ran out the front door of the store. CFS- 11-41392
Burglary
Lee Hill Mini Storage, 9701 Ashley Dawn Court- Sometime between 9 PM on 5 April and 9 AM on 6 April, someone broke into the business office and stole a cash box. The cash box contained $300 in cash and 26 checks valued at $2,424. CFS- 11-39543
Breaking & Entering
Matta River Estates- Two homes in the area of Coach Four Lane were broken into sometime between April 5th and April 7th 2011. The victims reported that cash, coin sets, a camera and prescription drugs were stolen.

Timbers- A resident on Albany Street, reported that sometime between 9 AM and 7 PM on April 6, 2011, someone possibly made entry into the residence by prying open a window. No items were reported stolen

Commuter Lot, 12150 Gordon Road- Sometime between 7 AM and 5:40 PM on April 7th, a catalytic converter valued at $250.00 was cut out from under a vehicle and stolen from the commuter lot.

Fox Point- During the overnight hours on 10 April, someone made entry into an unlocked vehicle in the area of Waterman Court and stole a black Garmin Nuvi GPS valued at $200.00 and $10.00 in loose change.

Salem Run- A resident in the area of Summerfield Court reported that someone stole a Gucci purse valued at $200.00 and a pair of Coach Sunglasses valued at $325.00 from an unlocked vehicle. The larceny occurred sometime between 11:30 AM on 10 April and 8 AM on 11 April.

Wandering Run- Sometime March 5th and April 7th, 2011, a resident in the area of Howard Trail reported someone entered an unlocked garage and stole an AK-47 rifle valued at $500.00 and (3) 30 rounds magazine clips.

Raintree- Sometime March 4th and March 8th, 2011, a resident in the area of Blossom Wood Court reported that someone stole about $250.00 worth of Liquor from the home.

Motor Vehicle Theft
Kohls, Cosner Corner, 9683 Jefferson Davis Highway- Sometime between 3:45 PM and 10:15 PM on April 8th, someone stole a 2002 Silver Dodge Grand Caravan from the parking lot. A Red Dodge Intrepid that was reported stolen from Hanover County was recovered in area during the same period and it appears to be related to this case.

Salem Run Townhomes- Sometime between April 2nd and April 12 2011, someone made entry into an unlocked vehicle in the area of MarionCourt and stole a JVC car stereo valued at $400.00.

On 12 April 2011, a resident on Mount Olive Rd. reported that sometime between March 1st and April 12 2011, someone stole 10 car radiators valued at $1000.00 from the resident’s property.

Commuter Lot, 4240 Plank Rd- Sometime between 7 AM and 6 PM on April 7th, a catalytic converter valued at $500.00 was cut out from under a vehicle and stolen from the commuter lot. During the same time frame, another converter valued at $800.00 was stolen from another vehicle.

Tractor Supply, 4179 Plank Road- At about 1:52 AM on 10 April, A male, in a dark colored van, possibly a Chrysler or Chevy, pull up along the front of the store and exit his vehicle. The individual walked up to a lawn sweeper, removed the alarm cable, and then placed the lawn sweeper in the rear of his van, before driving off. The lawn sweeper is valued at $300.00 CFS- 11-41063

Spotsylvania Towne Centre Parking Lot- Sometime between 10 AM and 4:30 PM on 12 April, someone made entry into an unlocked vehicle and stole a $170.00 in cash, a driver’s license, and a SunTrust ATM card.

Timbers- A resident in the area of Durham Drive reported that someone made entry into an unlocked vehicle and stole Garmin Nuvi GPS valued at $100.00. This larceny occurred between the hours of 5 AM and 8 PM on the 8th of April.

Stoney Brooke- A resident in the area of Mockingbird Lane reported that sometime between 8 AM on 8 April and 9 PM on 9 April someone stole a rear Virginia temporary license plate (F476-221) from a vehicle parked on the resident’s driveway.

Salem Run Townhomes- Sometime between April 10th and April 11th 2011, someone stole a Tom Tom GPS valued at $150.00 from a vehicle in the area of Marion Court. The resident believes that the vehicle was secured, however, no signs of forced entry were discovered.

Salem Run – Sometime during the overnight hours on April 10th 2011, someone stole a wallet, containing $50.00 in cash, driver’s license, social security card, bank card, and a Kenwood faceplate from a vehicle
parked in the area of Castlebridge Road. The resident stated that the vehicle was locked, however, no damage or signs of forced entry was discovered.

Lafayette Village- A resident in the area of Normandy Court reported that sometime between 8 AM and 1 PM on 10 April, someone stole one Virginia license plate (KCV 6242) from a vehicle parked on the area.

Summers Landing- Two mailboxes on Cinnamon Teal Drive were damaged with a blunt object. This vandalism occurred at about 11PM on 10 April 2011.

Marrs Mobile Home Park- At about 10 PM on 9 April 2011, a mail box in the area of Mary Drive was destroyed by a possible explosive device.
