Spotsy’s Alert System

Just a reminder: Spotsy’s alert system goes live today. Those of you who signed up last week have probably already received some messages: A winter weather alert and a few notices about school closings, delays and afternoon activity cancellations.

But for those of you who haven’t signed up, check it out here. You can sign up for alerts about weather, schools, utilities, emergencies, missing children and more. These messages will be sent to your email, your cell phone or your pager. You can ask to have messages sent to all three, if you’d like.

I signed up and unless they are making sure their system is working properly – I’m getting a lot of “alerts”.

And the funny thing.. before I used to get an email telling me about the upcoming BOS/PC meetings and a link to the agenda and now.. it has disappeared with the “new and improved” web service.

or perhaps I missed something… heh heh…
