Residential Breaking and Entering

Sometime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Dec. 28, a home in the area of Loren Dr. was broken into. A window on the back door was broken and entry was made. The suspect/suspects rifled through the victim’s closets and belongings. The only items reported stolen was a bottle of Crown Royal and a bottle of Rain Vodka. CFS- 10-1611074

Attempted Grand Larceny

Bellevue Court- In the area of Stratford Av. and at about 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 22, the victim said  when he came home he saw  a black male wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt attempting to steal an Yamaha YFM350 ATV from the victim’s property. The victim said before he was able to confront the criminal, the criminal fled the scene. The ATV was recovered and secured by the victim. CFS- 10159180

Grand Larceny

The Villages of Salem Station- Sometime between the 20th and the 22nd of December, a vehicle parked in the area of Sunburst Lane was broken into and the thief stole a JVC car stereo, a black vinyl CD case with about 30 CD’s in it, a silver IPOD Nano and  a pair of Smith sunglasses. In the process of breaking into the vehicle the criminal caused about $300 in damage to the vehicle locking system. CFS- 10159227

Grand Larceny

Leavells Crossing- In the area of Leavells Crossing Dr. and  between 9 p.m. on Dec. 22. and 1 p.m. on Dec. 23, someone broke the passenger window of a vehicle and stole a wallet from a purse that was on the front seat of the vehicle. The wallet contained $85, credit cards and several forms of ID. CFS- 10159454

Grand Larceny

Breezewood- In the area of Kernwood Dr. and between 10:15 p.m.on Dec. 23 and 7 a.m. on Dec. 24, someone broke the front passenger window of a vehicle and stole a purse, cell phone, brand new men’s shirts, sweater, several children’s toys and a griddle frying pan from the vehicle. CFS- 10159767

In the area of Post Oak Road, on Dec. 24, an unlocked vehicle was enter and a white 32 GB Ipod Touch was stolen.CFS- 10160286

Premier Real Estate Management Services- In the area of Hudgins Rd. and  between the Dec. 22 and Dec. 28, someone broke into one of the company’s vehicles and stole a yellow and black generator valued at $2,000, a green and silver Hitachi skill saw valued at $75, and a Black and Decker Midas saw valued at $200. Bed Bath and Beyond, 3700 Plank Road- Between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 24,  a victim said she left her purse unattended for a few seconds and that her wallet was stolen out of her purse. The victim said her wallet contained $523 in cash, credit cards, spare keys, and several forms of identification.CFS- 10160242

Larceny

Breckenridge- Sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Dec. 23, unknown subjects broke into a couple of vehicles in the area of East Copper Mountain Dr. Two Garmin GPS’s valued at $150 each were stolen and both vehicles sustained damage during the break in. The vehicle alarm was activated during the larceny. These cases may be related to the below Cambridge Larceny due to distance and timeline that they occurred. CFS- 10159377, 10159391

Larceny

Cambridge- Sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Dec. 23, unknown subject/subjects broke into a vehicle in the area of Cambridge Dr. A Garmin 3100 GPS valued at $150 was stolen. The vehicle alarm was activated during the larceny. This case may be related to the above Breckenridge Larceny due to distance and timeline that it occurred. CFS- 10159339

Larceny

Sometime between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 28,  unknown subject/subjects entered an unlocked vehicle in the area of Hudgins Rd. The victim’s purse was left in plain view and it is reported that several social security cards were stolen from the purse. CFS- 10161174

Bellevue Court- Sometime between 8 p.m. on the Dec. 21 and 9 a.m. on Dec. 22, unknown subject/subjects entered an unlocked vehicle in the area of Southgate Av. A Spotsylvania Deputy was able to recover several stolen items nearby and returned the property to the victim. The victim did state that he was still missing $125 in coins which were stolen from his vehicle. CFS- 10158899

Missile at an occupied dwelling

Holleybrooke- At about 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 22, unknown subjects shot at an occupied home about 15 times with a BB gun. The victim stated that three unknown individuals were seen running away from the scene. This incident occurred in the area of Chesterwood Dr. CFS- 10159405

Vandalism

Salem Fields Fairfield- During the early hours  of Dec. 26, the victim reports that two tires on his vehicle were slashed. This crime occurred in the area of Tangible Court. CFS- 10160225

Walnut Hills – In the area of Brian Drive, the back window of a vehicle was broken. It is possible that the damage was caused by an unknown subject shooting the window with a BB gun. This vandalism occurred between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 26. CFS- 10160340

Sheraton Hills East – At about 8 p.m. on Dec. 27, a mail box in the area of Kennedy Lane was damaged. Several black males were seen walking in the area at about the same time of the incident. All the males were wearing dark clothing and one had on reflective markings on his clothing. CFS- 10160752

River Club – Sometime between 8 p.m. on Dec. 27 and 7 a.m. on Dec. 28, a vehicle belonging to The Free Lance Star was parked in the area of Stacy Run. The vehicle sustained damage to the rear window by unknown means. CFS- 10160948
