If you take State Route 2 regularly, you don’t have to avoid it tomorrow. Signs cautioned that roadwork tomorrow and the day after would create traffic delays, and some drivers planned alternate routes.
But that roadwork has been delayed, because of the weather.
The work will now be done Dec. 29 and 30, weather permitting. The work will depend on both temperature and precipitation, said Kathy Smith, spokeswoman for Spotsylvania County.
The railroad crossing between the intersections of Joseph Mills Drive and Bend Farm Road should be repaired.
The work will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and delays are expected.
