Seeking Tips: Spotsylvania Crime Solvers
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is looking for tips on some recent crimes. If you know anything, you can text your tip by texting SEE911 to 274637 (CRIMES) or by calling 540/582-5822.
Here are the crimes:
Pedestrian Hit and Run
In the area of Salem Church Road and Ross Drive, sometime between the hours of 9:34 p.m. and 10:44 p.m. on Nov. 12. A 17-year-old white male, may have been struck by a vehicle. The victim was found in a ditch with several injuries. This incident is still under investigation and the exact causes of injuries are not known at the moment. CFS 10-143480
Residential Breaking and Entering
Saw Hill- In the area of West Hildy Ct., sometime between 2:30 p.m on Nov. 12 and 2:20 p.m. on 13 Nov. 2010, unknown suspect/suspects made entry by unknown means into a home. A black 16 GB IPOD valued at $250 was stolen. CFS- 10144058
Commercial Breaking and Entering
Gulf- 4300 Lafayette Boulevard. Spotsylvania units responded to the Gulf gas station on Lafayette Boulevard for a commercial burglary. Between the hours of 10:30 p.m. on 10 Nov. and 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 11, unknown suspect(s) broke the front glass door using both a brick and a slab of parking lot concrete. Once inside, the suspect(s) took cash from the register, cartons of cigarettes (unknown count), cases of Budweiser beer (10), Black Magic pouches, K-2 Spice packs, Funkey Monkey incense and jars of Posh incense. Commercial Breaking and Entering
Gulf- 4300 Lafayette Boulevard. Nov. 17 at 2:33 a.m.: Spotsylvania units responded after a newspaper delivery person noticed the front glass smashed out. Upon first unit’s arrival, a masked male was seen running from the premises. Deputies saw suspect running at the nearby car dealerships on U.S. Route 1 but lost sight of him. Looking for: White male, 5’8”, 150 pounds (thin build), late teens to early 20’s, dirty blond or light brown hair, wearing a dark hooded shirt, blue jeans. CFS- 10145120
Motor Vehicle Theft
In the area of Belmont Road, a 1994 white and blue Suntoon boat was stolen from the pier. The victim stated that the boat was last seen sometime in late September. The boat is valued at $3,000. CFS- 10143648
Grand Larceny
Area of Camp Town Road- Sometime between Oct 1 and Nov. 1, the victim said someone entered private property and stole a 1998 Toyota Sienna engine, 1998 Ford Explorer engine, 1997 Isuzu Rodeo engine, 1988 Ford F-250 engine and a 1994 Toyota Camry engine. CFS- 101448027
Grand Larceny
Sometime between 5 PM on Nov. 14th and 9 AM on the 15th. Two bicycles were stolen from outside a residence on Green Arbor Dr. The bikes are described as a brown and white Mongoose and a blue and silver Mongoose. Both bikes are valued at $250. CFS- 10144483

Sylvania Heights- In the area of Bend Farm Road, between 7:30 and 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 14. The victim said she moved two chain saws from her living room and onto the porch and, later, the chain saws were missing. They were orange and white Stihl’s, valued at $1250. CFS- 10144087

Glenwood Mobile Home Park- In the area of Glenwood Circle, a White 300-gallon home fuel tank was stolen outside of a mobile home. The crime occurred sometime between Oct. 31, 4 p.m. and Nov. 2, 4 p.m. CFS- 10142338

During the hours of 3 AM and 9:45 AM on Nov. 15, an unlocked Chrysler PT cruiser was entered and a black duffle bag containing an IPAD and an XBOX 360 game system was stolen. The larceny occurred at 7100 Sharon Road.CFS- 10144872

Chancellor Green- In the area of Folin Court, and at about 5:30 p.m. on Nov.15. The victim left her car unlocked, with her purse containing a yellow gold wedding ring, bank cards, military ID and a driver’s license. The purse and its contents were stolen. CFS- 10143602

Spotswood Estates- In the area of Laurel Av., and between the hours of 8 p.m. on Nov. 10 and 1 p.m. on the Nov. 11. The victim stated that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole an original Civil War photograph valued at $600., a Cannon Scanner valued at $425., several copies of Civil War documents and a black Timba briefcase. Grand Larceny
Spotswood Estates- In the area of Beechnut St., and between the hours of 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Nov. 16. A vehicle passenger window was broken and a $400. Coach Purse, with credit cards, debit cards and several department store cards were stolen from the passenger side floor. CFS- 10144779

Spotswood Estates- In the area of Birch Circle, and between the hours of 11 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 6 a.m. on the Nov. 16. The victim stated that a Garmin Nuvi GPS, Black 8 GB Nano IPOD, and an IPOD FM transmitter were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle. CFS- 10144994

Fairfield Inn- 10330 Spotsylvania Av. During the evening hours of Nov 13 and morning of Nov 14. Unknown suspect/suspects broke a vehicle window and stole a Mac Laptop valued at $2,000 and a $200 Silver IPOD Touch. CFS- 10143922

Spotswood Estates- In the area of Laurel Av. during the overnight hours on Nov 10, the victim said someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole 15 music CDs and a vehicle registration card. CFS- 10142641
Fairfield Inn- 10330 Spotsylvania Av. During the evening hours of Nov. 13 and morning of Nov 14. Unknown suspect/suspects broke a vehicle window and stole a briefcase with leather trim valued at $150. CFS- 10143894

Fairfield Inn- 10330 Spotsylvania Av. During the evening hours of Nov.13 and morning of Nov. 14. Unknown suspect/suspects broke the window on a Maroon Honda Pilot. CFS- 10143899

Timbers- In the area of Cleveland Court, sometime during the early morning hours on Nov. 13. Unknown suspect/suspects broke a window of a vacant home.CFS- 10143672

Fox Point- The Fox Point community Tennis Court timers were vandalized sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. on Nov. 12 The timers are valued at $500. CFS- 10143156

Tommy Wallace Electric (3410 Shannon Park)- Sometime between 3:30 p.m.on Nov. 11 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 12. A work van was vandalized. A window was broken, and several rocks were found inside the van. Several juveniles were seen in the area during the time of the crime. CFS- 10137397
