Volunteers needed for Stonewall Jackson Run

The Parks and Recreation Department needs volunteers for the Oct. 9 Stonewall Jackson 20-mile run.

Volunteers are needed to staff water stops and help with other tasks. This is the race’s eighth year.

High School students can earn community service hours for graduation if they volunteer.

Volunteers??? Are you kidding??? After all the “volunteer” negativity, NO ONE is going to want to “volunteer” for anything… Maybe if you PAY them, they’ll come!

This “attitude” display being used is pure BS. Did people DREAM up the situations that have come to light in the past 8 months regarding the F&EMS service? I do not think so. Those situations happened, NOT because people dreamed them up, they happened because our F&EMS system needed serious changes.
