Six dirt roads to get paved
The Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors on July 13 accepted a bid for $1.8 million to improve and pave six dirt roads.
The project was awarded to Holladay Construction Co. Only one other company bid for the project. Chemong Contracting bid $3.2 million for the work.
The six roads are: Ham’s Ford Road, Sunnybrooke Farm Road, Tribble Road, Pepper Tree Road, Glady Fork Road and Stewart Road.
The six roads will be paved using what is called chip-seal or tar and gravel.
I am working on a complete story with timelines, so stay tuned.
