County Administrator to attend private meeting with Chancellor volunteers tonight
The county administrator is going to attend a private meeting with Chancellor fire and rescue volunteers tonight to talk about the Feb. 5 fatal fire.
This private meeting will take place while there is an ongoing investigation of the fire.
Kevin Dillard, the department’s administrative chief, said the meeting is only for Chancellor members, so I cannot attend.
Barnes is going to speak with members for a few minutes.
Dillard said the volunteers want to know if the county is going to be supportive of them as the investigation into the Feb. 5 fatal fire continues.
I could not reach County Administrator Doug Barnes at his office today. I left a message with County Attorney Jacob Stroman, who called me back and said he is not attending the meeting as it was earlier reported.
