Rezoning at the Livingston Landfill
There will be a story as early as tomorrow about a county-initiated rezoning of rural land surrounding the Livingston Landfill on Massey Road to industrial uses. County officials and supervisors provided little information on this proposal. But I was able to connect some dots and have put together what appears to be happening over there. Economic Development Director Russell Seymour said he couldn’t talk about any companies that may be interested in the county rezoning the 61 acres. He said there are some confidentiality agreements that prohibit any county employee from talking about any prospective company. What he did say is the typical industrial parks are not what these companies want, and he mentioned "green" opportunities. But all I had to do was review the consent agenda and I was able to piece together what the plans are to do at the landfill. Stay tuned.
