National Night Out

National Night out is Aug. 4 for Spotsylvania County. This is the 26th year in a row for the program.

National Night Out is designed to:

• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness

• Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs

• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and

• Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

The event runs from 6-9:30 p.m. in the Super Target parking lot in Massaponax.
