County’s E-911 Center ready to fail?
Who would have guessed that the county’s E-911 system is in such poor shape that it might fail any day? At least that is what this report says, one of the basis to take the land of Donald B. Schley and Carol B. Schley. The county wants to move forward with phase one of the campus master plan that includes a new circuit court building and public safety center. The staff report states that if the Board of Supervisors does not condemn this land, the guaranteed fixed price might increase and "possible failure of the County’s E-911 equipment with no viable replacement options."
Here is the appraisal of the property, offering $72,000 for 9 acres of land.
