Board Sticks With Meeting Times
Supervisors did not change the meeting times last night. Supervisor Gary Jackson, who works for the federal government in DC, said making the second meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month start at 3 p.m. would create a hardship for him. Supervisor Hap Connors, who was absent, commutes even farther to Northern Virginia.
Supervisor T.C. Waddy asked for the meeting time changes because he said it seemed like the meetings were lasting longer into the night.
Supervisor Benjamin Pitts said the last thing he wants to do is create a problem for Jackson to attend meetings. Waddy then removed his motion. The decision was to keep the meeting times the same on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. The first one will start at 3 p.m. The second one, like last night, will start at 6 p.m.
