UMW ROUNDUP: CAC honors four UMW athletes

Four University of Mary Washington athletes have been honored as Capital Athletic Conference athletes of the week, including two in baseball.

Colonial Forge High School graduate Jake Black was named co-pitcher of the week after notching 10 shutout innings of relief in two games. Teammate Seth Jordan went 9 for 16 to earn player of the week honors.

Junior Luke Dick was named men’s lacrosse player of the week after compiling eight goals and four assists in two victories.

Junior Alex Blakhin won the men’s tennis award after sweeping his singles and doubles matches in victories over York and Washington & Lee.
