Preps Roundup: Basketball, swimming

Winston Burgess and Marco Haskins tallied 18 points and six rebounds apiece to lead Colonial Forge past North Stafford.

Gary Jennings added 12 points for the Eagles, and Ignacio Alleyne contributed six boards. T.J. Flood pitched in with six assists.

Jordan Thompson paced North Stafford with 10 points.

Colonial Forge will host Stafford Friday.

Riverbend held Colonial Beach to single digits in each quarter en route to a victory over the Drifters.

Eleven different players scored for Riverbend, which was led by Elija Brown’s 13 points.

Courtland’s girls won 10 of 11 events and outscored Culpeper (136–32) and Spotsylvania (142–23) in a double dual meet. The Devils edged the Knights 77–75.

Courtland’s boys also swept Spotsylvania (126–44) and Culpeper (119–51). The Knights edged Culpeper 92–76.
