COURTLAND 78, KING GEORGE 76

Courtland had four players in double figures, led by Kyle Talley, who scored 16 points in a 78–76 Battlefield District girls basketball victory over King George Friday.

The Foxes, who also had four players score double digits, were led by Sam Sharpe, who topped all scorers with 22 points.

Terrell Robinson came off the bench and scored 14 points for the Cougars, who visit Eastern View Saturday.

Ryan Greer and Chris Holmes amassed 18 points apiece to lead Chancellor past James Monroe.

Greer had 10 rebounds, and Holmes grabbed eight boards while hitting a pair of free throws to seal to game at the end.

Marcus Finnie’s 13 points and eight rebounds paced James Monroe, and Jarmal Bevels contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets.

Chancellor will host King George Friday.

Anthony Banks was one of five Culpeper players to score double figures, recording 19 points to lead the Blue Devils over Caroline.

Nik Stewart had 16 points, Bruce Mosley had 14 and Henry Butler added 12 for Culpeper.

Jaron Clipper, Bevontae Morris and Aason Pankey had 11 points apiece for Caroline, which visit James Monroe Monday.
