UMW Basketball: Eagles and Saints split a pair

Sean Armstrong scored a game-high 18 points to pace the University of Mary Washington men’s basketball team to a 65–56 Capital Athletic Conference victory over Marymount Wednesday night.

Bradley Riester added 15 for Mary Washington.

The Eagles (7–7, 1–2 CAC) will visit Salisbury University on Saturday in another CAC contest.

Marymount went on two first-half 7–0 runs to take early control of its contest with Mary Washington, and eventually the game, 58–43, Wednesday night.

Amanda Witmer and Sam Partonen each scored 11 points to pace the Eagles (9–5, 2–1), who visit CAC rival Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon.
