BROOKE POINT 45, RIVERBEND 36

Valerie Poole had 18 points—including four 3-pointers, three in the first quarter—to lead Brooke Point’s girls basketball team to a 45–36 Commonwealth District win against Riverbend on Tuesday.

Riverbend was led by 13 points from Candice Beverly and Lainey Harmon. The Bears next play at Orange on Jan. 18.

Brooke Point is at Massaponax on Friday.
