3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead Spotsylvania to a 66–62 Battlefield District boys basketball win over visiting Chancellor Monday night.
Bradley Anderson added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Knights, and Darius Carter has 12 points. Bilal Marlowe sank two game-clinching free throws with 10 seconds left.
Chris Holmes led Chancellor (9–3, 4–1) with 22 points.

After struggling with Liberty’s size under the basket in the first half, the Mountain View girls basketball team adjusted its game and earned a 44–36 win on Monday night.
With leading scorer Chelsea Keyser in foul trouble, Jessi Dixon stepped up in the third quarter, scoring seven of her 13 points.
Alexis Davis helped seal the win with eight of her 15 points in the fourth quarter for Mountain View, which hosts Hylton on Wednesday.

Spotsylvania’s Dominic Cronin decisioned Norfolk Collegiate’s Alex Souris 4–2 to win the 132-pound weight class at Saturday’s King of the Beast tournament at Tallwood in Virginia Beach.
Teammates Vincent Edivan (138) and Josh Stacy (145) each placed second as the Knights finished fifth out of eight teams. Terry Evans (120) and Josh Miller (126) each finished third and Thomas Campbell (220) fourth.
BATTLE OF THE BRIDGE
Stafford junior Devon Bornschein won the 145-pound weight class at the “Battle of the Bridge” Invitational in Chesapeake City, Md. Sophomore teammate Steven Harris was second at 285.
