Eric Washington scored 19 points to pace the Courtland boys basketball team to a 61–48 victory over Louisa in a nonconference makeup game Saturday.
The game was rescheduled from November, when several members of the Cougars were still playing with the football team in the state playoffs.
Kyle Talley added 16 points and Damion Washington made four blocks for Courtland (4–8, 1–3), which plays James Monroe for a Battlefield District clash on Tuesday.

Emily Conroe scored 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Conquerors over Heritage Christian in the Conquerors Hoops Classic championship game. Conroe was named tournament most valuable player.
Ashlynn Morgan added eight points and Saxon Seubert provided solid defense for Faith Baptist (9–0, 2–0) which travels to Fairfax Home School on Tuesday.

SWIMMING
QUAD MEET AT ST. MICHAELS
The Fredericksburg Christian boys and girls swim teams each went 3–0 Saturday in hosting a four-team meet.
The FCS boys beat Richmond Christian School 200–47, Wakefield School 171–76 and Wakefield Country Day School 207–18, while the girls defeated Wakefield 138–14, Richmond Christian 127–57 and Wakefield Day 123–70.
FCS’s David Turbyfill, Courtney Jones and Gracie Paterson each won twice in individual events.
