Bria Carter and Kortni Simmons combined to score all but two of visiting Spotsylvania’s points in a 63–55 Battlefield District victory at King George on Friday night.

Carter finished with 35 points and Simmons with 26 for the Knights.

Carley Armentrout totaled 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead King George, which visits Caroline on Tuesday.

Chancellor got within three points of Courtland at the end of the third quarter, but 11 fourth-quarter turnovers by the Chargers allowed the Cougars to pull away for a Battlefield District win.

Sydney Jackson had 14 rebounds and Marrisa Soto added 10, while Rachon Harrison provided four assists for Chancellor, which hosts Spotsylvania on Monday.

Courtland hosts James Monroe on Tuesday.
