L.J. Durante drove the lane and hit a floater with 18 second left to give Spotsylvania the lead, then partially blocked Anthony Howard’s potential game-tying shot at the other end to allow the Knights to get a 68–67 Battlefield District win over visiting King George on Friday night.
Durante finished with 12 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, while Darius Carter added 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists for Spotsylvania, as the Knights rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit.
Howard posted a game-high 24 points for the Foxes.
Devin Kennedy chipped in 15 points and five rebounds for the Knights, who host Chancellor on Monday.
