Preps Roundup: Baskeball, wrestling

Four Chancellor girls scored at least 12 points in a 57–50 non-district basketball victory over Grafton.

Allie Short totaled 13, and Emily Green, Rachon Harrison Sydney Jackson tallied a dozen points apiece.

Jackson also grabbed 16 rebounds, and Short added five assists and five steals. Harrison contributed six assists, as well.

Chancellor returns to the court Dec. 27 at the Caroline Holiday Tournament.

WRESTLING

Appalachian Duals

Mountain View’s Josue Beltran Jr. went undefeated at the Appalachian Duals at Skyline Saturday, winning five times at 120.

Mountain View’s Trevor Watkins won four of his matches, and Zachary Rotsch, Jared Swan and Jae Yi each won three times.

As a team, however, the Wildcats went 2–3.
