Elijah Brown scored 24 points and had 10 steals to lead Riverbend to a 57–40 Commonwealth District boys basketball victory at Brooke Point Monday night.
Buck Buchanan added 17 points for the Bears (6–2, 4–1), who visit Mountain View Tuesday.
Julian Swinton had 13 points for the Black-Hawks (0–7), who visit North Stafford Tuesday. Aaron Sanders collected 11 rebounds.

WRESTLING
MONTROSSITY V AT W&L
Host Wa1shington & Lee went 4–0 to win Pool A, then lost to Marion 41–39 in the final of Saturday’s 10-team tournament. James Snyder (126 pounds) was named W&L’s top wrestler for the day.
Spotsylvania went 4–1 in Pool B to finish second behind Marion. Cameron Whetzler (5–0 at 285 pounds), Eddie Whelan (4–0 at 160) and Josh Stacy (3–0 at 152) were unbeaten for the Knights.
DINWIDDIE DUALS
Riverbend went 3–2 to finished fifth out of 12 teams at the meet in Richmond with wins over Fork Union (37–29), Jefferson Forest (42–24) and Highland Springs (42–21), while loses came to Powhatan (43–25) and J.R. Tucker (36–28).
Kyle Krieger (5–0) and Kord Krieger had four wins via pin each, Xavier Darensbourg had 3 pins. Cameron Clem finished 3–0, and Alex Miller and Vinnie Pirrone went 3–2 for the Bears.
