Prep Swimming: Bears top Panthers in Commonwealth dual meet

Ethan Etter and Kevin Naples each won two events and swam on two winning relays as the Bears’ boys won 217–64 in Commonwealth District dual meet between Massaponax and Riverbend Friday.

Nicole Muilenberg did the same as the Bears won the girls meet, 161–118.

Friday’s late results

FIVE-TEAM MEET AT FREDERICKSBURG ACADEMY

St. Michael boys and girls teams each went unbeaten at Friday’s meet.

The Warriors boys defeated Saint Margaret’s 165–0, Randolph–Macon Academy 149–85, Fredericksburg Academy 155–51 and Wakefield Country Day 149–59.

Fredericksburg Academy’s boys finished 1–3, beating Saint Margaret’s 82–0, but falling to R–MA (116–63), WCD (87–60) and St. Michael.

On the girls side. St. Michael topped the Falcons 119–73, R–MA 134–81 and WCD 131–32, but tied Saint Margaret’s 120–120. Fredericksburg Academy’s girls beat WCD 87–30, while falling to Saint Margaret’s 135–78, R–MA 94–90 and to the Falcons.

STAFFORD VS. NORTH STAFFORD

Sara Dix and Harley Johnson each won two events and swam on two winning relays to lead North Stafford’s girls to a 183–102 win over Stafford.

Cameron Brackmann and Noah Prestidge also clinched two events apiece and swam on two winning relays to help the Wolverines boys to a 215–71 victory over the Indians.

Brandon Sanders and Andrew Wineinger each won two events for the Eagles boys, who captured a 197–83 win over the Black-Hawks.
