Prep Boys Basketball: Eagles edge Bears; Caroline gets first win

Colonial Forge’s Marco Haskins scored 14 points, and the Eagles’ boys basketball team survived a last-second attempt by Riverbend to earn a 42–40 win in the Eagles’ season-opener on Tuesday.

Elijah Brown led Riverbend in its district opener with 23 points.

Aason Pankey and Deion Scott had 12 points each as Caroline picked up its first win of the season.
