UMW Women’s Basketball: Eagles easily top Generals

Sam Partonen scored 16 points and added seven assists an Aby Diop had a double–double with 11 points and 11 rebounds as the 19th-ranked University of Mary Washington women’s basketball team defeated Washington & Lee, 56-38, Thursday at the Anderson Center.
The Eagles (5–1) will return to action on Saturday when they host Frostburg State University Saturday 1 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the UMW men. All fans bringing a new unopened toy for Toys for Tots will receive a free general admission ticket for Saturday’s twinbill.
