UMW Roundup: Eagles men fall to Bishops in overtime

The University of Mary Washington men’s basketball team took North Carolina Wesleyan College into overtime on the Bishops’ home court Wednesday, but couldn’t finish what it started, losing 89–85.
The Eagles led by nine with three minutes left, but a 10–2 Bishops run to end regulation tied the score after 40 minutes, of which UMW held the lead for 39:24. In the extra period, UMW scored nine points, but the Bishops scored 13, and UMW fell victim to two crucial turnovers in falling.
Jamie Richardson led the Eagles with 23 points, while Taylor Johnson scored 19 and Bradley Riester added 16 and a team-high seven rebounds.
