Prep Boys Basketball: Panthers rally for opening win

MASSAPONAX 55, STAFFORD 44

Massaponax got off to a slow start, but junior Aaron McFarland scored eight points in each half to help the Panthers get a 55–44 Commonwealth District boys basketball win against visiting Stafford on Tuesday night.

Joey Foster scored seven of his nine points in the second half and Tony Barnett helped seal the win with five points in the fourth quarter for Massaponax, which hosts Courtland on Friday.
