Prep Volleyball Roundup

Shea Sullivan totaled 22 kills and Kayla Jacobs chipped in seven digs to help visiting Chancellor get a 25–20, 20–25, 25–9, 25–13 Battlefield District volleyball win at Caroline on Thursday.

Shawna Morris added eight kills and four blocks for the Chargers (8–10, 7–2).

Ayana Clayton had seven assists, five kills and four digs, and Bo Hayes added five digs, four blocks, two kills and an ace for the Cavaliers (4–9, 2–7).

The schools meet again on Monday, this time at Chancellor.

SPOTSYLVANIA 3, JAMES MONROE 0

Makayla Baker had five assists and two aces, Brittany Lord two kills and an ace, and Amy Robertson two kills, two aces and a dig for Spotsylvania in a 25–10, 25–9, 25–13 Battlefield District win.

Katie Graham contributed six kills and six digs, and Calli Stott six kills and five digs for the Knights (7–7, 7–2), who visit the Yellow Jackets on Monday.

COURTLAND 3, EASTERN VIEW 1

Jenna Hendley had eight digs and two aces, Emily Jordan seven kills, and Brooke Cooper six digs for Courtland in a 25–10, 25–14, 19–25, 25–11 Battlefield District home win.

Other leaders for the Cougars (13–5, 9–0) were Bianca Rumbaugh with 25 assists and five digs; McKay Richardson with 23 digs; Josie Till with 10 kills and two blocks; Marybeth

McBroom with four kills; and Anna Gallup with six kills, six digs, four blocks and three aces.

Courtland visits the Cyclones on Monday.

COLONIAL FORGE 3, ORANGE 0

Leandra Tranquill had 10 kills and Pressley Maghan 14 assists to help Colonial Forge get a 25–19, 25–16, 25–15 Commonwealth District home victory.

Nori Thomas and Hope Kelley added six kills each for the Eagles (16–7, 12–1), who host Massaponax on Tuesday.

NORTH STAFFORD 3, BROOKE POINT 1

Tiffany Barrett registered 18 kills and seven digs, and Alex Sosik provided seven aces and five kills to help visiting North Stafford get a 25–23, 25–22, 19–25, 25–17 Commonwealth District win.

Christine Jackson supplied 11 blocks and five kills, and Abby Rosa added 11 blocks and three kills for the Wolverines (10–7, 7–7), who visit Brentsville on Monday.

Desiree Claxton had 12 kills and 12 digs, and Jasmine Jones contributed seven aces, seven kills and four blocks for the Black–Hawks (12–5, 8–5).

Alyssa Andreno provided a spark off the bench with two kills and two blocks, and Summer Rivera totaled seven digs, two kills and two blocks for Brooke Point, which visits Mountain View on Tuesday.

RIVERBEND 3, MOUNTAIN VIEW 0

Megan Pomeroy had nine kills and three digs, Miranda Mitchell 12 digs and six kills, and Shadae Strother chipped in six kills for visiting Riverbend in a 25–20, 25–21, 25–23 Commonwealth District win.

Other leaders for the Bears (12–4, 9–4) were Ana Torres with 10 digs, four kills and three aces; Danielle Deiters with 24 assists; and Rebecca Statler with 21 digs.

Riverbend hosts first-place Albemarle on Tuesday.

FRED. CHRISTIAN 3, HIGHLAND 1

Ashlee Middleton doled out 27 assists and Gabby Vess had 11 kills to help homestanding Fredericksburg Christian get a 25–19, 25–21, 18–25, 26–24 Delaney Athletic Conference win.

Andrea Kuliasha added eight kills for the Eagles (10–7, 3–0), who entertain Trinity Christian on Tuesday.

LANCASTER 3, COLONIAL BEACH 0

Rachael Allison led visiting Colonial Beach with eight attacks and five kills, but Lancaster earned a 25–14, 25–12, 25–14 Northern Neck District win. The Drifters (0–15, 0–6) host Rappahannock on Tuesday.
