UMW: Charney ties CAC mark in Eagles win

Senior Lisa Charney scored four goals to tie a Capital Athletic Conference record to lead the seventh-ranked University of Mary Washington field hockey team to a 10–0 victory at host Frostburg State University Saturday.
The Eagles (10–0, 2–0) will host Eastern Mennonite University Tuesday at 4 p.m.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Jessica Bednarcik scored one goal and assisted on three others and Erin Reynolds added a pair of goals to lead the Eagles t0 a 5–0 CAC win over Wesley College at the Battleground Athletic Complex.
The Eagles (7–1–1) will return to action on Tuesday when they host Division I Howard University at 4:00 p.m.
VOLLEYBALL
The Eagles dropped a 3–0 decision to Lynchburg College, with game scores of 23–25, 17–25, 20–25.
The Eagles (5–6) next visit St. Mary’s College in a CAC match Tuesday at 7 p.m.
MEN’S SOCCER
The Eagles dropped a 1–0 decision to host Marymount University in CAC play Saturday night.
The Eagles (5–5, 0–2) will visit Virginia Wesleyan College Wednesday at 7 p.m.
