Ashten Dixon threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Spotsylvania past Culpeper in Battlefield District football action Saturday.
Robbie Pettit added a score on the ground, and Clinton Ferguson caught both of Dixon’s passing scores.
Spotsylvania’s Matt Zimmerman was good on all four of his point-after attempts and made a 28-yard field goal, which proved to be the game-winner and was the only scoring play of the final quarter.
Daekwon Fisher led Culpeper’s offense with two rushing touchdowns, and Jimmy Wetsel also found the end zone via the ground.
Culpeper’s Anthony Banks caught a scoring pass pass from Zach Crim.
Spotsylvania will travel to King George next Friday, and Culpeper is slated to face Courtland.

FCS goes 3–1 at Flint Hill Tournament
Fredericksburg Christian fell to Norfolk Academy in games of 25–13 and 25–11 and lost to Flint Hill in games of 25–12 and 25–23 before beating Middleburg Academy with game scores of 18–25, 26–24 and 15–11.
