UMW Rounup: Women’s and Men’s soccer win, Volleyball falls
FOUR SCORE FOR UMW WOMEN’S SOCCER
Tina Rader, Lizzie Weast, Erin Reynolds and Kelsey Carter all had goals to lead UMW over Randolph–Macon, 4–1.
The Eagles (6–1–1) had a 17–8 edge in shots, and goalie Charlotte Owens made three saves.
Mary Washington hosts Wesley College in a CAC game on Saturday.
UMW MEN PREVAIL IN OVERTIME
Tommy Sangbousy had two assists and the game-winning overtime goal, as the Eagles (5–4) rallied from a 2–0 deficit against North Carolina Wesleyan to win 3–2.
Kevin Murphy and David Heller also scored for Mary Washington, which travels to Marymount on Saturday.
UMW VOLLEYBALL SWEPT BY SALISBURY
Salisbury dropped UMW to 5–5 overall and 1–1 in the CAC, downing the Eagles, 25-13, 25–20, 25–17.
Kayla Crawford and Kaitlynn Wicersham had seven kills each, and Christine Tran had a team-high 11 digs for UMW.
Mary Washington hosts Lynchburg College on Saturday.
