WASHINGTON SCORES GAME-WINNING GOAL FOR BROOKE POINT
FIELD HOCKEY
BROOKE POINT 2, MASSAPONAX 1 (OT)
Liz Washington scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift Brooke Point to a 2–1 Commonwealth District field hockey win against visiting Massaponax on Tuesday.
Katie Beiswanger also scored and Rachael Payne earned an assist for the Black–Hawks (7–2, 7–2).
Goalie Madison Davis made 10 saves, while Kate Kennedy and Moca Donoso made one defensive save each for Brooke Point, which visits Orange on Thursday.
Kiely Cloude had the lone goal for the Panthers (2–8), who host Albemarle on Thursday.
STAFFORD 5, NORTH STAFFORD 1
McKenzie Bowler had two goals, and Lindsey Lysher supplied a goal and two assists for visiting Stafford in a Commonwealth District win.
Elizabeth Brownell and Audrey Braxton also scored for the Indians (7–3, 7–3), while Natalie Bohmke also had an assist.
Hannah Gaston scored for North Stafford.
Stafford visits Colonial Forge on Tuesday.

Alex Garner and Gerard Sala scored for Fredericksburg Christian in its win.
Chris Hughes played well for the Eagles (5–2–2), who held off a late surge by the visitors, and travel to Warrenton on Thursday to take on Highland School.
