Meghan Norair had three goals and Carolyn Topps provided two goals and two assists to help Fredericksburg Academy get an 8–0 field hockey win against visiting Potomac School on Monday.
The Falcons (7–1), who were ranked No. 1 in VISAA Division 2 in the first poll that was recently released, also received goals from Sara Eadie, Allegra Massey–Elim and Colleen Norair.
Massey–Elim also added an assist for Fredericksburg Academy, which visits John Paul the Great on Friday.
COURTLAND 7, CAROLINE 0
Emily Zaluzney had four goals and Annamarie Kondek provided one goal and one assists for Courtland in a Battlefield District road win.
Sydney Rampey and Emily Ward also scored, while McKenzie Burnette and Caroline Mastin added one assist each for the Cougars (7–2, 5–2), who host Culpeper on Wednesday.
Goalie Paige Simulcik and teammates Chelsey Chinault and Cassandra Cooper played well for Caroline, which hosts Spotsylvania on Wednesday.
CHANCELLOR 9, SPOTSYLVANIA 0
Chloe Fernandez had three goals and three assists, and Katherine Hull tacked on two goals and three assists for Chancellor in a Battlefield District road win.
Kate Colley (tw0), Chelsea Galera and Greer Trainham also scored, while Galera, Allison Weiland and Katie Jones provided assists for the Chargers (7–0, 7–0).
Chancellor visits King George on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
JAMES MONROE 3, KING GEORGE 1
Hannah Fisher had a goal and an assist, while L.C. King and Sarah Frank also scored for James Monroe in a Battlefield District win.
Sarah Miller and Catesby Willis provided assists for the Yellow Jackets.
Mia Meyer scored for the Foxes (4–3, 4–3), who will play their first home game of the season on their new turf field Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Chancellor.
STAFFORD 5, RIVERBEND 1
Five players scored for visiting Stafford, led by Cassie Hooghouse with a goal and an assist, in the Indians’ Commonwealth District win.
Lindsey Lysher, Audrey Braxton, McKenzie Bowler and Felicia Tortoici also scored for Stafford (6–3, 6–3). Natalie Bohmke, Brooke Harmon and Morgan French supplied assists.
Avery Warner scored for the Bears, with Haley Kilgore drawing the assist.
The Indians visit North Stafford today.
VOLLEYBALL
BROOKE POINT 3, GAR–FIELD 0
Jasmine Jones had seven kills, four digs and two aces to help visiting Brooke Point get a 25–11, 25–18, 25–17 nondistrict win.
Cori Jacobsen finished with five digs, three aces and two kills, while Desiree Claxton had eight digs and five kills for the Black–Hawks (10–1), who host Massaponax tonight.
RIVERBEND 3, COURTLAND 2
Danielle Deiters had 32 assists, five kills and five aces, and Rebecca Statler provided 34 digs, four aces and four kills for Riverbend in a 17–25, 25–23, 25–22, 22–25, 15–9 win.
Ana Torres had eight kills, two blocks and two aces, and Brett Pettus added seven kills, three blocks and three aces for the Bears (8–3), who host Colonial Forge on Wednesday.

Brandon Chang scored and Matt Schools assisted Fredericksburg Christian’s only goal in a Delaney Athletic Conference tie.
Chris Hughes stood out in the midfield for the Eagles (4–2–2), who host Trinity (Meadowview) today.
